Bio

Georgia State Univerity, Perimeter College has recognized Associate Professor Fernandio Rochaix for his innovations in course design, using digital pedagogy in the Humanities. He has incorporated Art and Art History class projects involving new media, virtual reality, and game simulations of ancient archeological sites. Rochaix has also worked with Atlanta area DeKalb County schools, implementing computer programming workshops for K-12 students. Previous academic work and publications include Pre-Columbian, colonial art, 20th century Latin American, human-computer interaction (HCI), digital placemaking through Augmented and Mixed Reality. Rochaix is a Social Science Research Council Mellon Mays Fellow. Skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Lecturing, Educational Technology, and Research.
